Manchester artists perform alongside new youth music

On October 29th, North City Library in Harpurhey hosted a special Both Sides Now after hours gig, featuring some of Manchester’s most exciting up-and-coming artists!
The event was put together by our friends at Brighter Sound, in partnership with Manchester Libraries' Creative Spaces programme. We are Creative Producer for the Creative Spaces initiative.
Hosted by our own brilliantly talented colleague Pavia Ward the night featured:
DISRUPT – a collective of rappers, singers, producers, instrumentalists and spoken word artists who create songs to promote individuality, acceptance and equality - brought together by Brighter Sound.
Award-winning guitarist and singer-songwriter Maisie Murray who filled the room with her captivating sound.
Talented acoustic singer-songwriter Maddie Harris represented Brighter Sound project Sing City.
Rapper and songwriter Hallie C brought the vibes with her cheeky Mancunian style.
Abena (from All Hands on Deck) set the scene with her opening and closing DJ set, using vinyls to share her chosen sounds.
And brand new music created by young female music creators on a 3-day workshop led by songwriter and producer Pops Roberts (lovescene).
Creative City and Manchester Libraries supported Brighter Sound's 3-day programme that led up to this library late. Working together to share skills, to boost confidence and connect communities.
